Doha Club

The Doha Club was established by the State of Qatar in 1977 to provide recreational and leisure facilities for top government officials, members of the diplomatic corps and business leaders and their families. It currently has a membership of over 900, drawn from 23 different nationalities.

The Club has affiliate membership agreements with a number of the world’s premier clubs, welcoming their members visiting Qatar, and offering Doha Club members the opportunity to enjoy the luxury and facilities of similar clubs around the globe during their leisure or business trip abroad.

 Catering
  • The Doha Club successfully combines a wide variety of functional and caters to both corporate and individual clients. Its international chefs have developed an enviable reputation around town, and the Club’s gourmet outlets are unsurpassed.
     

  •  Conferences
  • The Club regularly hosts conferences, seminars,
    product launches, exhibitions and celebratory functions and caters to diplomatic receptions, and private and corporate events at both the Club and
    outside locations.
     

  •  Dinning
  • The Doha Club offers both members and non-members wide choice of menus, with everything from cakes, pastries, ice creams and light snacks to full five
    -course gourmet meals. As part of its refurbishment program, the Doha Club
    introduced three excellent new restaurants:
    Al Nakeel - The Palms - offers some of the worlds finest cuisine as well as wonderful views across the marina and bay.
    Al Dara; Family oriented has a wide ranging Arabic and Asian - influenced menu;
    Al Makhan - The Place - offers candlelight dining and a gourmet menu with beverages of your choice.
     

  •  Health & Fitness
  • The Health and Fitness Centre offers the best in training and fitness equipment, while ensuring that those using the facilities have a spectacular view over the bay but can also listen to their favorite music, watch TV or view a video while exercising. Fully qualified trainers can help with the design of individual exercise and diet programs.

  • The centre has a Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and plunge pool with separate changing rooms for women and men; certain timings are set aside for ladies only.

  • Classes in calisthenics, aerobics, aqua-aerobics,
    stretching and Karate. A specialist Masseur and Masseuse are also available. Taekwando, Jazz and Ballet Dancing supplement the sessions in the gymnasium.
     

  •  Sports & Recreation
  • Sportsmen and women can benefit from the extensive facilities and training  programs - in tennis, squash, beach volleyball and swimming etc. and special facilities are available both for adults and juniors. The Club has seven championship-standard floodlit courts, and coaching is available
    in-groups or individually from the Club’s resident professionals.

  • The Doha Club’s Marina caters to those members and non-members who wish to moor their boats at a convenient, supervised location where fuel and servicing facilities are available.

  • The Doha Club organize a number of sporting tournaments each year as well as hosting several local leagues. The Club’ new Olympic-sized swimming pool is heated in winter, chilled in summer and has an overflow filtration system. The children’s pool has special water features, but is shallow enough to allow youngster to play in safety.
